1946...

April 1st, 1946

The main jewelry box company in Brazil was born in Juiz de Fora.

Felicio Baldi, a former employee of an Italian packaging and related industry, with of his parents and siblings help, created the Manufacture of Cases Baldi, a family business aimed at serving the jewelery market, where the relentless search for quality quickly transformed it in one of the references in the segment, winning in the early first years important awards. Felício Baldi and Walter Roque Baldi with great dedication and competence were largely responsible for the management of the company at that time, counting on the indispensable help of the whole family, friends and first employees.

1980...

Walter Roque Baldi Júnior, engineer, son of Walter Roque Baldi, one of the co-founders, starts to participate in an official way as a partner since he has worked at the company in 1974 with innovative concepts and purposes.

1990...

The Manufacture acquires the first plastic injection machine, leaving the highly artisanal process and starting to produce plastic cases, thus providing a significant improvement in the quality and standardization of its cases, becoming more competitive, winning in agility and reducing its costs.

1992...

Manufacturing is going through one of the worst crises in its history.

The parity between the dollar and the real, allowed imported cases to arrive in Brazil mainly from Italy with modern designs, impeccable quality and prices lower than those practiced in Brazil.

A trip by the director Walter Baldi Júnior to Italy, opened a real possibility of survival for the company. An Italian partner indicated a reference company in Thailand with the same principles and values of the Baldi Cases: striving for quality and seriousness.

From this contact, Estojos Baldi started to import the semi-finished cases, finishing them in its factory and distributing them all over Brazil, thus allowing it to remain alive and active, competing equally with the other imported cases.

1994...

With the real dollar ratio returning to a normal level, imports decreased, importers gradually lost interest in the market and Estojos Baldi, with constant investments in molds, started to produce again with more experience and quality, its injected cases, recovering the market that it had lost and that it had provisionally replaced by imports from Thailand.

2010...

Due to the high demand and increasingly distant from the highly handmade wooden cases, Baldi acquires its second injector, one of the most modern on the market, with greater productivity and resources.
Even so, for a very specific market, on a small scale, it continues to produce handmade wooden cases and trays.

2012...

Estojos Baldi, after a few international trips by its directors, imports a packaging lining machine from China, which includes injected cartridges and cases of high performance and excellent quality, thus providing the conquest of new markets, hitherto unexplored, such as jewelry and semi-jewels.

2017...

The company evolves in management and governance. Introduction of new dynamics in the management process with the implementation of the GPD method (management by guidelines) and the GRD (daily routine management), in addition to management by indicators, based on meritocracy and the implementation of the ERP SAP.

2020...

Global transformation with Covid-19, with a turn of the production line for making and selling masks. Beginning of an ambidextrous management mindset, focused on operational excellence and at the same time the relevance of the Innovation process.
